Water Journey takes an active role in the community. Among the many initiatives that Water Journey supports are:

American Cancer Society-Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
October 18, 2009, Richmond, VA, Water Journey donated the alcohol-free hand sanitizer, Hands2GO to be used at registration and survivor tables for the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. The nearly 7,500 walkers raised over $500,000 to help fund research and support programs. The Making Strides walk is put on by the American Cancer Society every year to help raise awareness of the disease and to help save lives.
Navy League of the United States
The Navy League is an organization that puts together and sends care packages to soldiers in any branch of the military in the Middle East. In response to this, Water Journey donated bottles of Hands2GO to be put toward these personalized packages.
LUNAFEST
March 7, 2009, Richmond, VA, LUNAFEST is a film festival and fundraiser that is devoted to promoting awareness about women’s issues. It also serves as a platform to bring women together in their community and to highlight women filmmakers. This year, Water Journey donated Hands2GO, an alcohol-free hand sanitizer, in support of the event.
Goods 4 Good
Water Journey has donated Hands2GO alcohol-free hand sanitizer to Goods for Good to aid in their mission of helping vulnerable children. Goods for Good is an organization that collects surplus goods and sends them to African children in need of supplies.
Healthy Schools, Healthy People: It’s a SNAP
This program, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) promotes hand hygiene among middle schoolers.

National Coalition for Food-Safe Schools The National Coalition for Food-Safe Schools (NCFSS) is an alliance of representatives from a variety of renowned national organizations, professional associations, and government agencies that have interest or active involvement in reducing foodborne illness in the U.S. by improving food safety in schools. NCFSS is a voluntary and informal working group that focuses specifically on improving food safety in U.S. schools through information sharing, networking, and strategic planning of activities.
